To practise or introduce the past continuous. the image shows a young boy who witnessed an accident, the three exercises correspond to the 3 characters´ testimony. the first is easy as Ss only have to circle the correct tense, then it gets more difficult. Students should first discuss orally what each character was doing, where they were going...then do the exercises.
