This is part 1 of my lesson about planning a trip from New York to the Grand Canyon. Give the students this page plus part 2 + 3 and let they plan their own trip. They have $ 4800 and they will stay 11 days! They don’t have to use all the money, but they should plan how to use all of their time. They have to decide how to get to the Grand Canyon (they are already in New York), where to stay and what they want to do there. After their froup discussion the should write their decision on the worksheet and introduce it to their classmates later. It was a fun lesson (actually two ;-)I hope you enjoy it! (Instructions are in this part)
