Presentation Feedback Cards
These cards are for peer feedback to classmates who are giving presentations. Print out the cards, preferably onto colored paper (a different color for each of the 5 cards), and cut them up. (Laminate them if you wish.) Each speaker then gives out 1 card to each member of the audience (including a card for the teacher!) according to the type of feedback (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, signposting language, or presentation techniques) that he/she wants from each student. After the presentation, the teacher elicits both positive and negative feedback (it is essential to insist on this!) from the students (by theme) for the speaker.
This takes some time, but has 3 significant advantages. Each member of the audience in involved. The students learn to monitor each other and (more importantly) to self-monitor. The quality of the presentations improves SIGNIFICANTLY during the course of the presentations.
The card for Presentation Language refers to Language of Presentations, which I have also posted on this site.
