Big Bang Theory - The Bat Jar Conjecture
Here are 2 different worksheets to accompany the American TV sitcom, "The Big Bang Theory," Season 1, episode 13, "The Bat Jar Conjecture," which science and engineering students love.
In the prior lesson, hand out the worksheet with the physics questions, and ask them to find the answers as homework for the next class. Suggest they ask their friends who are good in physics or their physics professors. (It’s best NOT to give any clue to the name of the show or your intentions for the next class other than that the questions "are for a competition".)
In the next lesson, go over the questions, soliciting the correct answers, but it might be a good idea NOT to penalize students who haven’t found the right answers.
Then show the film and enjoy!
(I used the font Impact for the title, which is the same as used for the picture (although slightly modified).
I would recommend this episode and worksheet only for students aged 18 and above due to some mature content.
