Witness - 6 Characters
About 2/3s or 3/4s of the way through the film "Witness," distribute cards to the class and explain that this is their new identity. Give them some time to write questions they would like to ask other characters in the film while you go around giving help.
Then collect the role cards, and have the students stand up and walk around at a party. They can introduce themselves and then chit-chat about what they have been doing, why, asking questions, etc. (They can also "gossip" about other characters.) They then move on to speak with another character. Should 2 "Rachels" ("twins") meet up, they can still ask each other questions about their motivations, opinions, etc.
This idea was inspired by "Value Exploration through Role Playing" by Robert C. Hawley.
