Present Perfect Lying
This is an exercise for practicing the Present Perfect and Simple Past, as well as questions.
Hand out Worksheets A and B. Explain to the students that they have to answer yes to each question “Have you ever …?”.
Demonstrate the idea by asking a student to answer yes to the next question: "Have you ever been to Greece?" (Student then replies yes.) Then ask detective-type questions such as "When did you go there? Who did you go with? What did you do there?" Then ask the class whether they think this student is telling the truth of lying.
Students then interview each other in the same way, alternating questions.
