Charades Verbs
First go over the verbs with your students and act each word out while pronouncing it. You can also ask for the translation in your studentsĄŻ native tongue. Cut the words out along the lines and fold them in half. Place the cut out, folded pieces of paper into a hat or bowl. Divide the students into teams, 2 or 3 works best depending on size. Each group sends one student to the front of the room. The student selects a piece of paper from the hat/bowl and has to act out that word. To make this activity more advanced you can have the student act out the verb as an animal. Their team has to name the verb and the type of animal. Timed games work best and if the team cannot guess the verb/animal then the other teams have a chance to guess and can steal the point(s).
