Colorful Creatures Animal Game - (Ideas on Page 2)
I got this idea after looking at those brightly colored animals from different clip art websites. If you like this I will probably add a collectors card so that your students can collect the animals as they go. Have children use dice and markers (game tokens) to go around the board. Every time they land on an animal they could use these types of statements or questions:
What kind of animal is this?
It is a cow.
What color is it?
It is yellow.
Are cows yellow?
No. Cows are not yellow.
Cows are usually white or brown.
For this game you may choose to use regular dice or dice that feature animals or colors. You may change the rules of play to make it more interesting.
You will see that I did not use white, grey, brown, black or beige for any of the animals. My goal was to choose colors that are not normal for these animals. (I realize that some frogs are purple, but I was running out of ideas.)
