Objective/Goal: The students will examine the natural and social environments in local and global communities, analyzing patterns, systems and relationships. Additionally, students will explore representations of real and imagined experiences. They will create, plan or shape new and/or existing arts works to express ideas, feelings and events related to personal, social and environmental futures in local and global communities. Finally, students will read, view and interpret a range of texts about familiar and some unfamiliar topics with increasing independence and understanding. Description: The students will perform this task either individually or in a group according to instructor preference. Students will open a new blank page in KidPix. They will then use the stamp tool and any other tools to draw a map of the village as described below. They will type the name of their village on their map and include a compass rose. Finally, the will label each area or provide a key to explain any symbols used on their map(s).
