The same basic sentence written "convincingly" in each of the present and past forms complete with signal words in italics. Each of the tenses have been given a colour code which could be changed and/or taken over and applied to other sentences.It is meant as a form of recap after the tenses have been looked at. The basic sentence "The cat sat on the mat" is, anyway, a good sentence for pronunciation practise.
