Bogus E-mail Interactive
This is a fun interactive writing exercise where each student has to write 3 bogus e-mails to someone (a famous person or someone in their school) signed by someone else on 3 separate sheets of paper. (The teacher can go around helping while the students are writing and can also contribute 3 e-mails.)
The e-mails are posted on the walls around the classroom as they are written. After students have finished writing their 3 messages, they walk around the room reading the "e-mails." They can then write answers to a few e-mails (as the recipient) and then post them under the originals.
Itīs a good idea to remind students that if they send an e-mail to a classmate from a famous person or impersonate a classmate in an e-mail TO a famous person, that they not write anything that would embarrass or hurt their classmateīs feelings.
