Crime and Criminals - Vocabulary Exercise for Intermediate Students worksheet

A vocabulary exercise with a follow up activity. As a lesson starter I would do a brainstorming with the students, gathering information about crime/crime series ect. Then the worksheet would be distributed. Students have to do some guess work (the jumbled up word is meant as a help). The words should be discussed in class. Then groups/pairs are formed and students have to create a story whereby they should use as many new words from the previous activity as possible. Emphasis should be put on the fact that the story has to be meaningful and that certain guidelines should be followed (beginning - main part - conclusion). It´s a creative task that promotes vocabulary learning skills.
