Pass!!!!
This is a very nice activity for practicing the passive voice with gerunds and infinitives. Cut the strips as indicated before class.Ask them to sit in a big circle. Tell each individual, pair or trio to number a sheet of paper from 1 to 10, like they would do in a dictation, for example. The activity is perfect for groups of 33 students tops. If your group has up to 11 students, hand one strip to each of them. If it has more than that, ask them to work in pairs or trios. Explain that you are going to give them some time ( I suggest something around 30 seconds to a minute) to write the information they have in their strip in the passive voice, on the correspondent number on their list. For example, if they receive strip number 8, they should write on number 8 on their sheet of paper. When time is up, you say "Pass!!!" out loud and they should pass their strip to the next group and get a differente strip to write the passive form from. You do that until all the groups have written all the 11 sentences in the passive form. Finally, you check all the sentences with the whole group. Itīs nice, fun, effective and you just need 1 copy of the worksheet per group. Make sure they only pass the strips when you tell them to do so, otherwise they can mess up the activity.
