Pictures to stimulate discussion.
Unusual pictures, a group should have a picture each and without showing the group do their best to describe what they are looking at. The group listens and tries to picture what the person is describing. Before the student reveals what they were looking at.
You can change the activity to focus on the emotions of characters in the pictures or speculate on the past circumstances that led up to these situations and or put a time limit on how long they have to describe the scene.
alternatively the group can work together to mind map as much as they can from each image
