Where is the bank?
This is an activity to help students practice giving and following directions (straight, left, right).
Instruct students to cut out the 7 "places" squares at the bottom of the worsheet.
Put students in pairs. Have Student 1 put the "places" in various locations on his/her map grid, making sure to keep his/her board a secret from the partner.
Student 2 then asks "Where is the _____?" (for each successive place).
The first student must give appropriate directions, ie: "Go straight 4, turn right and go straight 2." Student 2, must try to put the various places in their corresponding locations according to the directions given.
Continue until all places have been positioned on the map grid. Students should compare maps, correct any mistakes, and switch roles - Student 2 gives the directions...
