Victor Borge - Inflationary Language
Comedian and pianist Victor Borge explains how inflation can affect English, where "before" becomes "befive." Here you can give the students either the original or the "inflated" version to "convert" before listening. This is a transcription that I made of his famous routine, which is available in audio and DVD formats from the iTunes store and Amazon. You will have to adjust the fonts and font size in order to get both versions onto the same page.
