At the Pet Shop Role Play
Have the students brainstorm animals that are not normally pets (examples: hippos, crocodiles, pigs, giraffes, penguins, pythons, skunks, etc.). Then have each pair of students select an unconventional pet and draw a picture of it. (You could also use pictures and have the students select an unconventional pet from these).
Then explain to them that they are to create a role play of a customer who returns to the pet shop because they are dissatisfied with their pet, which they perform for the class.
I use this as a lead-in to Monty Python’s "Dead Parrot" sketch. (See the worksheet that I uploaded.)
I used the fonts Animal for the pictures at the bottom of the page and Curlz for the title.
