PAIR MAKING (GERUNDS) to describe how somethings may be done
this is a pair making game, in which your students have to complete sentences that have congruency. To help students decide which ones are congruent, the cards with the fist part of sentences have an image that can tell you obviously what other sentence may complete them. All cards have to be placed facing downwards, students, by turns, have to place 2 cards facing upwards ( if they are congruent enough to make a pair, they get that pair with them ). The winner is the one with most pairs at the end. If the two cards are not congruent, they must turn them back downwards, and then, itīs another studentīs turn. with this exercise your students are able to practice the use of By + gerund ( to describe how things can be done )
