Long & Short Vowel Pronunciation
This activity can be realized by silent reading or orally, and can also serve as a test for students depending on whether they are beginners or intermediate. If they already know most of the vocabulary, an oral test would be appropriate in which they spell out the different words heard, putting them in the appropriate cloud according to the vowel sound made (any of the long vowels, a short vowel, or irregular vowel sound). It also works well with beginners, especially those accustomed to phonetic spelling, as they are challenged to arrange a list of words according to the sound they should make using pronunciation rules & patterns previously taught.
The second page is a list of tongue-twisters to encourage modulation practice at home (for beginners) and can serve as a pronunciation test for intermediate learners.
