Adapted Scattegories Game
There are four different īCategoriesī cards. In teams, or individually, students have a set amount of time to fill out the cards with as many words as they can think of that match the given category. You can have students work on an entire card all at once, or give a set amount of time for each category within the card. After the time is up, have the students read what they wrote. If another team/student has the same word, the students receive one point for the word. If nobody else has the same word, they can receive two points for that word. On each card write the points earned, and then at the end add up all the points. The team/student with the most points wins the activity!
