Brown Bear Story Cards (for Pocket Chart)
Same idea as the storybook but with different animals.
I attach these cards to sentence strips (& laminate for durability) and use in the pocket chart. You can pass out the animal cards to the students and call out the animals & colors and the child with that card comes & puts it in the chart.
Great for choral reading and sight word practice (I, see, a, at, me, and color words.)
Extension Ideas: Make animal masks for the children to wear and act it out.
Come up with new animals & retell the story.
Make a class book & use pictures of the students to replace the colors & animals. Ex: Sara, Sara, Who do you see? I see Jossue looking at me!
