Describing Music
Basic terminology students can use to describe music to each other (tempo, rhythm, melody, vocals, etc.). For instance, why do you like this song? It has a fast tempo, catchy melody and a cool rhythm (these are the things discussed).
It is very basic and I know that rhythm and beat arenīt exactly the same thing, but in normal conversation people donīt differentiate between the two.
A good exercise would be to play several songs illustrating the concepts and then have students review songs based on these criteia using the examples sentences provided.
