Shopping role play and recipe writing
Sorry, I had to get rid of all my nice pictures as it wouldn´t let me to download such a big file :) It looks a bit plain now, but the main idea is still there! My students simply loved this revision activity. I´ve done this role play/group work at the end of the big topic of food shopping and cooking. I´ve started off with dividing students into 6 groups(see page 1) of 4. You´ll have to do 4 copies (1 copy for students A, 1 copy for Ss B, 1 for Ss C, and one for Ss D). So, you should end up with six teams (each team has student A,B,C,D)The 1st task is to create their supermarket aisle (dried goods,milk products,etc.)naming as many products they can sell as possible.Provide your students with poster paper, markers, old food magazines...
Once they´ve completed the task they move on to actual role play where Ss A and B are customers and Ss C & D are shop assistants. At the end of the task Ss go back to their original groups and write down recipes for teacher to check and correct. Once it´s done the winning team is announced and a small prize might be given. :) Sorry for such a long explanation. Hope, you´ll find my idea useful!
