TEENAGERS FOR PARENTS - A TEENAGE PLAY WITH MUSIC
This is a teenage play I wrote for my teenage sts to talk about their problems to their parents, through old songs their parents can relate to(Queen, from Hair, Sinatra, Cabaret, etc.). It consists of several scenes, each like a newsflash about teenage problems, followed by a song. It´s editable - you can shorten songs, cut out some scenes etc. It was lots of fun to make, lasts rather long, linguistically is not demanding, but you can involve many sts (I had 2 groups in this, with a colleague), and you can involve sts in the preparation. My sts learned a lot about culture and history through this, and the parents and kids all realized - no matter the timing, we all share common problems.
