My town/city (improved!)
The focus of the activity is to improve students writing and speaking skills using ´my town´(or city) as the focus. Students firstly revise professions/places in a town, and then focus on adjectives and adverbs used to describe places. Students then speak in pairs about their town, favourite cities and the facilities that make a good town. Then students write an attractive tourist brochure about their home town. Once completed, each student reads theirs and the class decides on the best. If time allows, students can use the internet to get images for their brochures.Thanks to Philip Roeland for the great template!
