Literary Terms Dominoes
This is a set of literary term dominoes which include many types of figurative language. The dominoes have 20 terms on one side and mixed up definitions on the other side.
This game can be played in pairs. Students must match the term to the correct definition.
Some of the terms are: simile, metaphor, hyperbole, personification, setting, connotation, denotation, symbol, tone, theme, character, conflict, antagonist, protagonist, imagery etc
My high schoolers really enjoy this activity!
Also, if you donīt teach some of the words, you can always use this as a template and type in new words and definitions!
