This can be used as a warm-up exercise or a lead-in to a discussion on social networking sites and modern communication. Students have to write about the topics using the Twitter format of no more than 140 characters (INCLUDING SPACES AND PUNCTUATION!!). Remind the students to write lightly in pencil as they may well need to change their entry to keep below the character limit!!
