Note taking and summarising Note taking and summarising

A simple worksheet used to break down the process of summarising. It helps students read and undestand text, select main ideas and write these in note forms, and then write the ideas in sentences. This has been used with a class of Grade 5 ESL students, and it was extremely effective in helping them to respond to the instruction "research and write in your own words".
