commonly mispronounced words by those whose first language is not english
this a list for students to practice pronunciation. i first tell them to read the words out loud as I check; next, I ask them to repeat after me as I check again, then I ask them to read the words by themselves. It provides a lot of practice. When students are more advanced and know some phonetics I askthem to make the phonetic transcription of ten of the words on the list.
