common mistakes
This is a worksheet that contains a mixture of grammatical mistakes. It is a really good revision exercise or can be used as a game. The game is a sentence auction : divide the students into groups or pairs and give each team 1000 pounds- dollars then the teacher writes the sentence, with the mistake in it, on the board. The students must first decide between themselves if the sentence is correct or incorrect then bet an amount of money on the sentence the highest bidder must correct the sentence if it is incorrect. If they correct it well then they win their stake plus other teams money.
