Modals in the speaking class
This chart can be used for brainstorming. I usually use it to revise the usage of most frequent modals in differrent forms of speaking (role play, presentation, picture desription). Before starting the speaking practice students fill in the chart with sentences then share their ideas. This way we not only revise the grammar but collect some very useful phrase and/or sentense bank that helps students to speak more confidently in the classroom. What is more the collected sentence bank could be used later on as a good reference material in their exam preparation.
