The purpose of the exercise is to practice future idea (it can be with verbs in the present or going to or will) using the cards to talk about the gifts the people in the cards are going to buy, who they are buying the gifts for, where they are going to buy the gifts and how much they are going to pay for them. Students get a card and a chart to be completed and talk to the other students. The activity can also be done in the simple past: "What did you buy?", "Where did you buy it?", Who did you buy it for?" and "How much did you pay for it?". I put some examples of questions on the second page. Hope the exercise is useful.
