sentences in a hat to work on several future verb tenses
INSTRUCTIONS:
Students complete each card with their own information about what kinds of plans they have set for the future. When they’re done with this first phase, they put each card inside a top hat. After that, teacher shakes the hat a little bit, and then asks students to pick up one card and read it. Ps. If it’s the student’s own card, ask him to put it back in the hat and get another card. Finally, students move around to find who wrote the piece of information in the card.
LANGUAGE OUT PUT ON THE BOARD:
A) Are you going to travel as soon as you finish college?
B)Yeah, I’m going to do that right away. Actually, I plan to travel by the end of this year.
A) Have you made up your mind yet?
B) Sure, I’m going to travel to… because…
It’s a thrilling activity because students get curious about who wrote the piece of information on the card. Also it’s a nice chance for speaking in the class
