I find the most effective way to teach this lesson is to hand out page one with the first short conversation folded back and hidden. Have the students read the second conversation on the page in roles two or three times. Then, with the students, interpret the second conversation. Following the interpretation, reveal the top conversation and explain that they´re the same. The third conversation on page one is fairly advanced. Page two can be a bit more fun. Try to get the students to practice using the idioms they´ve never heard before.
