This is a simple lesson or revision lesson or I have used it as a homework document. It is similar to a question that has appeared on the end of primary school english exam here in France. The idea is that the child reads the model and then rewrites something similar rplacing the relevant information with thier own details. It tests their comprehension of the text and also their ability to relate the information to themselves. You may ask them to replace a specific number of items.
