This is a critical thinking activity that can be bone in large classes. It is divided into five stages.
Stage one: The way to do it is to divide the class into groups of three. Tell the class that there is a committee coming to support financially any environmental or social projects that studnets have.
Ask the students to think of any social or environemntal problem in their socities that they think the government is not paying attention to. Let them answer the questions that they have in the answer sheets.
Second stage is to finalise everything. Appoint some students to be the members of the committee (two committees or more if you have a large class. Give them some to time to prepare some questions to ask the groups about their projects.
Stage three: Now the groups have the chance to explain their projects to the committees to gain the finanicial support.
Stage Four: committees announance the names of the winning groups. If you have any certificate ready that committees can hand in to these groups (it would be really fun)
Stage Five: feedback form students about the activity and explain the dimensions of such an activity and the benifits gained
