I KNOW YOU
In Part 1 - ss think of a question to ask their classmates (works best in conditionals form, but could be any form). They mingle & ask their classmates their question, and record the answers in point-form next to their names.
In Part 2 - They select a card with the name of one of their classmates on it, and must collect information about that classmate from everyone in the class EXCEPT that person. Students record their answers in point form.
In Part 3 - Finally, students choose their 3-5 favourite/most interesting points and introduce their classmate to the class.
** Can include introductions as a function here - formal or informal.
Students LOVE this activity. It can take up to about 90 minutes to 2 hrs to complete depending on the questions and class level/participation/size (based on a chatty, upper intermediate class of about 16 people). Complexity of the question can be modified to fit the different levels.
