Halloween Castle Board Game (13 pages all together) Now updated with answer key!
Ideas for play:
Here is my Halloween Castle board game. You will need a die and tokens to play. I have provided about 28 cards for you with some blank cards and 4 backing cards.
You will notice that I have drawn almost every element in this game except for the sculls, the ghosts and the fairy princess. But did you know that the trees were made by layering the letters Y and V (with Word Art). The candle was made with the letter L and the candle flame is a comma. (You can click on them to see what I mean.) The bats are made with the letter W.
Children must help the fairy princess escape the haunted castle. Children start on the bottom left hand corner and then move across the bricks to make their escape. Every time a student rolls a die they must pick up a card. They must read the card and fill in the blanks (orally). They must use the correct verb or verbs so that the sentence makes sense. Feel free to edit the sentences. Make sure they are appropriate for your students.
If you need more items related to Halloween please check out my other work. I have 2 different sets of Halloween flashcards, scary story bookmarks, a spider game, owl cards and the original version of this castle which has a slightly different design. I also have robot cards, alien cards and a robot game you might find useful.
Happy Halloween!
Some of my questions were taken from a verb worksheet. Here is the link:
