Witches´s Brew overhead projector demonstration of poem part 2--exercises
The continuation of the exercises that go with the Witches´ Brew worksheet part 1. This worksheet has comprehension questions about the ppt, and also a section asking the students to critique the ppt and think about some of the author´s choices (in preparation for them to create their own powerpoint.
I made two powerpoint versions. One is for a first and second viewing. (I recommend turning the sound off the first time and having the students talk about what is happening in each slide, read the captions, and predict what will happen next. Turn the sound on for the second viewing. It has a sentence recorded on each slide. This slows down the powerpoint and makes repetition of the sentence easy for listen comprehension exercises.
The second powerpoint has the whole text read aloud continuously. It is best played after the vocabulary has been rehearsed using the slide by slide sound files version.
