This story can be taught to children of third class of primary school. They started to study English in the first class. After telling the story you can use the following lessons in order to explain 3 different topics:  Adverbs to locate things in the space  Orders  Questioning form “do you like”? Create a relaxed atmosphere, you can do this by gathering children around you in a semicircle: in this way you are able to look at the children frequently while you read or tell the story. Read (or tell) the story to the children. Then you can explain the meaning of the story to the children translating in Italian and miming the situations. Then give out to the children this version of the story, once you have worked on the children’s imagination while you told the story.
