Comparing Cultures - east and west
This is a speaking activity designed to highlight cultural differences and similarities between east and west. I´ve used Hong Kong and Australia, but it could easily be adapted for any eastern and western countries. I usually get the students to sit in groups and discuss practices from their own countries. When they have finished, I ask for responses and highlight the differences in western culture.
