The Food Pyramid
Sts have to place the food groups in the correct place on the food pyramid to show the relative proportions of each in a healthy diet. The y do this in pairs and then compare with others.
I use this within the context of a lesson on food, countable and uncountable nouns , some/any.
I follow it with work in groups in which each student has a photo of a meal and exchanges information with the rest of the group to establish which of the meals is the un/healthiest. rcetice of questions e.g.Is there any fruit? and affirmatives e.g. Thereīs some pasta and negatives e.g. There arenīt any vegetables
