Peace
The theme of this unit is peace. Students age 10–12 will study the question, how do we solve conflict between other countries? It’s important to be sensitive to other cultures but how do we go about this if we don’t speak the same language or share a common background? We are aware of the ethnic, religious, political, and economic wars that take place in other countries or sometimes even in our own. With this knowledge, we must ask ourselves, what is peace?
