Halloween Readings-- 3 Short Stories and Fun Assessment!
This assignment is one I do every Halloween with my students, and they love it! There are three short Halloween stories (Bloody Mary, Dancing with the Devil, and The Golden Hand). These stories have elevated vocabulary and are scary without being inappropriate. Once students have read the stories, they pick the one they liked best and illustrate a six panel comic of the story. This is a great way to assess comprehension, and sequencing without the traditional comprehension questions. Enjoy!
