Kiss Me by Six Pence Non the Richer - Grab the Sentence Song Activity
Grab the Sentence: Print the song and cut the sentences out having slips of paper and stick them on the board or spread them on the floor, but include some wrong sentences (distractors) that don’t belong to the song (students should be warned about it!!!).
Students are divided into two teams and line up in front of the board. Teacher plays the song and as the first students in the lines listen to a sentence that is on the board, he/she has to try to grab the word first and goes to the end of the line. When the song is over, the teacher checks the group with more correct sentences. It is possible to cancel the mark of a correct sentence whenever they have a wrong sentence.
PS: A variation for elementary levels could be the use of words instead of sentences, and for each wrong word a correct one is disposed.
