As Unique as Any Other Teen
The idea of this class (which is one in a series of classes about describing people) is to discuss about teenagers. Are all teenagers the same? how are they different from each other? This is just the handout.
The whole class would be like this:
Preparation
•T recycles about last class topic: Teenagers’ Myths. Draw a chart on the blackboard for students to complete: Myths / Truths
•T focuses on one truth: “All teenagers are equals but not the same.” Class discussion about how they are different and how the same.
Core Task
•SS complete a chart with personal information(a blank copy similar to the ones they will read later on)
•SS reads information about Teenagers around the world in their handouts and find out similarities and different among them.
•SS look for some similarities and differences between him/her and one of those teenagers in the handout.
Follow up Task
•Genre transfer. SS read and example of a Bio Poem, and use the information they have written in the chart to write their own.
Following class:
Preparation
•Some SS read their poems aloud to share it with their classmates.
Core Task
•In groups of 4 SS, SS discuss on the topic How we, teenagers, are different but equals, and prepare (draw/write) a poster to share their conclusion with the rest of the class.

•Poster presentation
