English worksheet: Minimal Pairs (I vs EE) Minimal Pairs (I vs EE)

These are a number of sentences that contain minimal pairs of the soft "I" and the long "E". I have found with my Spanish students that this is one of the hardest sounds for the students to distinguish between and so I have made a number of sentences in which either sound would make the sentence make sense. Read the sentence to the students and have them decide whether it is one word or the other.
