Halloween Storytelling
An oral, written and presentation activity getting students to use past simple and imperfect as well as practising story telling and vocab of halloween. I did this with activity with 14-15 yr olds and they really enjoyed it. We started it in class, thinking of ideas for stories, getting vocab together and then they finished it in groups for homework. I also gave out ´awards´and ´prizes´to get them animated, eg "best written", "most original", even "shortest story" for a laugh! also gave them a few sweets each (for those who did it!) and told them it was a tradition to hand out sweets at halloween.
