General English pairwork icebreaker - FIRST LESSON
This is a great way to get students to know one another during the first lesson.
Pair students together. Give them time to ask and answer the questions on their card. Tell them that they will have to present their partner to the rest of the group/teacher. For groups of six or more, I tend to leave the room during this time.
Once the students have finished getting acquainted with one another. They take turns presenting their partners to the rest of the group.
You can give them a very brief feedback afterwards.
