Tornado - Body Parts
Print the tornado grid, cut the squares up and write numbers on the back of each one. Blu-tack them to the board (numbers up) and explain the rules:
- the students play in teams (3-6 ss)and choose a number
- either you or the appointed student read the sentence to their team
- the team has 10 seconds to decide if the answer is correct or incorrect and/or supply the correct word/phrase
- for every correct answer the team gets 1 part of a "house" - you draw it on the board - a floor, a wall, a window etc. - the object of the game is to "build" a complete house (just a simple drawing of a small house with one window and a door will do)
- for each answer which is incorrect, rub off one part of a house - a wall, a roof, etc.
- if the team chooses a number on the back of which there is a picture of a tornado - they lose everything that they managed to build - the tornado takes everything ;-)
You can also use different grammar points to revise with your students by using this game :-)
